Arriving To Phuket
Getting by plane to Phuket is done on the Phuket Airport, which can be found in the northern part of the island. This is the second biggest airport hub of Thailand, the first being Bangkok. Jakarta can be reached with planes from AirAsia and they are your best bet if you’re looking for a good price to Indonesia. You can use Air Berlin to reach Germany and Air Asia flights for Vietnam. Some of the other direct connections available from Phuket include Busan, Seoul, Hong Kong and Macao.

You will find cheap charter flights which arrive here during the high season, especially from countries like Japan, Taiwan or Sweden.
Domestic flights
There are a number of cheap airlines which fly in this area, including Air Asia. As long as you book it in advance, you can get tickets for Bangkok for prices like 1000 baht if it’s done in advance, or 2000 baht if you decide to buy it that same day that it’s leaving.
Thai Airways is a commonly used airline in the area offering flights to certain destinations. It allows you to come from Chiang Mai to Phuket for example, even though there isn’t a return flight for the same destination.
